Before Cruncho, Lund's event system required organizers to submit events through a static form — leading to endless manual work. Incorrect formats, missing details, and repetitive entries. The calendar lacked recurring events, multiple dates, and visual appeal.

A centralized database where local businesses, associations, and the municipality itself could easily share and showcase events to residents and visitors. After evaluating several options, Cruncho emerged as the clear winner — offering the right balance of simplicity, power, and support.

The Event Manager enabled organizers to log in, create, and manage their own events — reducing admin workload dramatically. An intuitive interface with live preview, rich descriptions, and customization options.

Lund uses a Calendar Constellation with 4 calendars: Lund Municipality, Visit Lund, Heja Lund, and a seasonal calendar — all powered by one shared Event Manager.

Since April 2021, Lund's event calendar has thrived. Over 1,200 organizers independently manage their events while admins enjoy a streamlined approval process. With 8,000+ events published and 500–900 live at any given time, the calendar is now the most-visited section of the city's website.
