Continuing to develop the existing solution would have demanded a great deal of internal resources, with the municipality responsible for every update and fix.

Strängnäs wanted an event guide that cut internal administration and let organizers add and manage their own events. They looked for features that made it easy for organizers to enter correct, relevant information, and to have their events presented in an attractive, accessible way. Strong search and filtering were essential — so visitors could quickly find what's right for them — and the whole experience had to work well on mobile.
